Coni Entrusts Travel And Transfer Management To AIM Group International

The four-year contract, awarded following a public tender, begins in March.

The Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) has chosen AIM Group International to provide travel agency services and integrated management of transfers and events, following a public tender. The four-year contract, with the possibility of a 12-month extension, begins in March 2025.

The contract includes support for major international sporting events as well as national events promoted by CONI and its regional branches. AIM Group International will coordinate the travel of athletes and their respective staff from different sports federations, ensuring an efficient and structured service.

“We are very happy to start this new adventure with AIM Group,” said CONI President Giovanni Malagò. “We are facing a four-year period full of prestigious sporting events, both in Italy and abroad, and I am sure that the added value of this company will be very useful for us to win new challenges, thanks to its recognised expertise, which will further boost the development of our activities.”

We are delighted to support CONI in the management of transfers, offering an innovative and personalised service to optimise processes and costs,” said Gianluca Scavo, CEO of AIM Group International. “This collaboration represents a further strategic step for our Group, consolidating our expertise in the sports sector and reinforcing our commitment to providing cutting-edge solutions for major international events.”

The service plan aims to provide users with an intuitive and highly efficient experience, adopting the best market standards and cutting-edge digital tools, in line with CONI’s travel policy.

Among the most important events to be managed in 2025 are the CONI Trophies (involving thousands of schoolchildren), the IWGA World Games in Chengdu (China, 7-17 August) and the European Youth Olympic Festival (Macedonia, 20-26 July). In 2026, the Winter Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina (6-22 February) and the Mediterranean Games in Taranto (21 August – 3 September) are on the agenda.

“This contract reinforces our commitment to sport, following the prestigious experience of the 2023 Giro d’Italia and the ongoing support of the Milan-Cortina Olympic Games Foundation in the accommodation sector,” said Armando Mastrapasqua, General Manager of AIM Group’s Events and Sports Division. “The great Olympic event is approaching and AIM Group is ready to play its part“.

With this collaboration, AIM Group International confirms its strategic role in the management of international sporting events, ensuring the efficiency and quality of travel services for the Italian Olympic Movement.
