The 45th National Congress of SIFO: A dynamic and engaging event in Naples
This year, the 45th edition of the SIFO National Congress took place in the vibrant city of Naples, bringing together nearly 3,000 hospital pharmacists – and other professionals – from across Italy. The central theme of the event was Next Generation Pharmacy: Mission, Vision and Value, sparked lively discussions and knowledge sharing over four exciting days. With the support of more than 100 sponsoring companies, an impressive exhibition area of almost 2,000 square metres was created, reflecting the growing importance of this event.
Aim Group has been organising the annual congress for SIFO since several years.
A grand opening and a packed programme
The Congress opened with a prestigious opening ceremony, with speeches from high-profile figures including Italy’s Minister of Health, Orazio Schillaci, and the President of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca. Over the following days, participants engaged in a variety of sessions, including plenary presentations, interactive workshops, focused discussions and company symposia.
Innovation in interaction: The SIFO Village
One of the standout features of this year’s event was the SIFO Village, a dedicated space designed to encourage direct and informal engagement, moving away from the traditional classroom setting. Within the Village, delegates explored four innovative areas:
- SIFO Arena: An open area with a free-standing screen and seating, providing a space for debates, ‘meet the expert’ sessions and engaging conversations, all in close proximity to the audience.
- Immersive Room: A darkened room with an immersive screen where visitors watched powerful videos from sponsoring companies. After the video, attendees were invited to scan a QR code for further interaction, with the experience enhanced by ‘silent disco’ headphones for full immersion.
- Game area: Visitors were able to test their scientific knowledge through interactive games on four digital totems, while taking home a fun selfie from the event.
- Relaxation Area: Comfortable seating and charging stations created the perfect spot for informal networking and relaxing between sessions.
Celebrate Naples: Networking in style
To strengthen the sense of community, two unforgettable social evenings were organised. The first, reserved for speakers, was held at the stunning Donnaregina Diocesan Museum, where guests enjoyed a suggestive dinner with an enchanting classical concert. The second evening was held at a seaside venue with a performance by comedian Francesco Cicchella and live music. Guests were treated to freshly made deep-fried pizza from renowned chef Sorbillo and handmade mozzarella from a local dairy.
A year of hard work rewarded
The event received high praise from attendees and the organising committee, recognising the dedication of the entire organising team.
